LFW - Outfit ♡

I've been so busy since fashion week that I haven't had the chance to post! London is my favourite city so I love spending time there (especially for fashion week!) so I was thrilled when I was asked to attend with the Oh My Love girls. I decided to battle the February cold channelling a vintage, grunge vibe. I'm loving The Ragged Priest  right now so decided to wear this gorgeous floor length mesh maxi t-shirt dress! It's currently sold out on their website :( but they do have this alternative online! As it's transparent I decided to wear a Sparkle and Fade silver glitter top underneath teamed with a pair or Zara shorts.

Of course no day in London would be complete without a giant coat, or some faux fur! I absolutely love this coat, I got it last year from Topshop so it's not still in stock, but lots of places do similar camel ones, check out this Misguided lookalike! The fur is actually not part of the coat, I picked it up from a vintage shop in Leigh on Sea, it was a must have considering how cold it was.

I got my backpack from a market in Ibiza last year, I always love picking up pretty items abroad! I stole my beanie from my boyfriend (thanks Page!) it's from Toke, a Bigcartel online clothing store, that sells really cool clothing! I'm currently obsessed with rings right now! Whilst in Brick Lane with my boyfriend Page on valentines day we visited Old Spitalfeilds Market.  He brought me the most gorgeous Moroccan blue stone ring and I  absolutely adore it! It's fitted in well with my current ring collection which consists of several H&M band rings, Topshop sun and moon rings and a vintage ring from my nan!

My look was photographed by Runway Manhattan and is featuring on their street style section of their website! I also got the chance to meet and chat with Hannah Regan, who is featuring me on her style and photography blog  so go follow her and check it out!

Lots of love Charlotte

London Fashion Week Day One- The Style Report ♡

Hello babes! Yesterday was absolute madness, don't even know where I'm finding the energy to write this post (I'm probably still buzzing off the fact I saw Alexa Chung!) besides the fact I'm completely exhausted, day 1 of LFW AW '15 was a huge success and I can't wait to tell you all about it! I attended Somerset House with the Oh My Love girls, capturing street style for their blog, interviewing the fashionable and just generally mingling!

I have always loved fashion week, not just for the shows, the celebs or the atmosphere but for the street style. I know I am biased because London is my home city but I honestly believe that London (especially during fashion week) is one of the trendiest cities in the world.

Fashion Week this year was no different. The fashion conscious came out in true English glory. Battling the frosty February gales in giant faux furs, teddy bomber jackets and floor length duster coats.

There was a running theme through the street style trends within Somerset House this year and it was Denim, and lots of it. It also was not just confined to a jean. New styles and cuts were showcased, will this be our bid goodbye to the skinny jean? Flares and wide leg styles ruled the cobbled stones, teamed with strappy pointed heels or trendy New Balance or Adidas 'Stan Smith' trainers. Customised denim also played a big part in the street style scene, rhinestones, sequins and slogan wording slathered across jackets and thigh-high denim boots.

Along with the flared denim came the return of the 70's. Suede jackets, sparkly boots, floppy hats and psychedelic prints. This was my favourite news because I can't think of anything better than being able to dress like a 70's hippy goddess and actually, be bang on trend.

Sleek winter whites, nudes and greys were also a big hit amongst the fashionable, think Kim K, but more reserved. Sarah Ashcroft was coveting a gorgeous minimalist look, teaming thigh-high grey suede Aldo boots with a grey duster and white mini dress, she looked stunning!

Trend Report: Iridescent Cyber Babe

Metallic gal

£31 - modekungen.se

£23 - topshop.com

I am currently a huge lover of just about anything metallic, holographic or slightly iridescent! The re-emergence of the 1990's trend just about everywhere over the past year or two it's safe to say that this holographic phase isn't going anywhere soon!

A holographic or metallic statement piece will never fail to jazz-up even the plainest of outfits. Day to day I tend to dress in quite neutral colours so this outlandish and cyber-cool trend will give any outfit the grungy cyber edge it deserves! I especially love my Topshop silver glittery socks- they're so understated, yet snazzy plus who doesn't like glittery socks? Duuuuuh.

Below are some killer outfits I am loving from Lookbook, check them out!

@Blehsol

The Ragged Priest are completely KILLIN' IT atm with their totally cool edgy style. I would definitely recommend checking out their 'Rainy Days and Sunshine Spring 15' Lookbook' -so inspired!

I especially love their 'Mechanic Mom Jeans' and - Cannot wait for them to restock them in my size so I can buy a pair! They also do some insane Mermaid Jeans with turquoise sequins that just have to be appreciated in their full iridescent glory- please check them out for your own sanity I promise, you will not be disappointed.

I definitely will be revisiting the holographic trend as we approach the summer because c'mon how cute is it? Plus I need a reason to crack out my inner cyber-girl stylingggg!

Boho Loving

70's babes look no further I have comprised the ultimate list of the best places to buy bell bottoms! I recently became the owner of the most gorgeous pair and have been dying to blog about them! I have been looking for so long but if like me you've been searching far and wide too, you'll have found that for some unknown reason they're ridiculously expensive, or from Australia and the shipping fee costs more than the actual trousers!

I was in the Stratford Westfield when I found myself in complete awe at the beauty of the the pair of bell bottoms I found in Forever 21, not only were they the last ones in my size they only cost £18! Now don't get me wrong, they don't look great on their site but in real life they're gorgeous! I got the size XS and I'm usually a UK 6-8 and they fit me perfectly!

I decided to make a Polyvore outfit set (above) and stumbled upon these babies! I've never actually brought anything from Salsit.com before but they have some amazing stuff! They have quite a few pairs of bell bottoms on their site and reasonably priced too! Ranging from £19- £30 they're style is well on point and within my budget!

ASOS also have some great options, (listed below) but I have been told they come on the larger side, so maybe take this into consideration when ordering!

Goldie Bells £28.20 - Salsit.com
Stevie Velvet Bottoms £24.00 - Salsit.com

Rokoko Bell Bottoms £28.00 - ASOS.com

My Room!

I've been wanting to make a post about my uni room for a while now mainly because I spend a lot of time in here and it's tailored specifically to my taste and everything I love! I moved into my new uni house in Southend-on-Sea in late July after moving out of dreaded halls! -they were fun while it lasted but I'm so glad to be out of there haha!

I've got a lot of photos and pretty girly like things but I wouldn't really say I'm a girly girl! I'm really into photography and art and have a few bits around my room that make me out to be a proper art geek haha! I'm not going to lie I'm not a massive book reader myself, don't get me wrong I do like reading but I don't really ever find myself in the mood for reading! I do love a magazine though, my top two favourites have to be iD and Cosmo. Purely because they both cover such a wide range of different stuff! I've recently been reading Dazed and Confused a lot more because there's a heap of them in the Uni library and I couldn't resist! I currently live with my friend Max, who used to live in the flat above me in halls and my main girrrrrl since day one of uni- Charlie.

I love wearing lots of jewellery, I don't leave the house without wearing my blue opal hamsa necklace from the Hamsa Project, (I received as a birthday present from my house mate it's so perfect!) or my Skagen Gold Watch which I received from my uncle for my 18th birthday!

Taken on my first day back at uni after summer- oh for it to be this sunny again!

First day back after summer picnic!

Charlie and Max before Charlie got a bed and her mattress was on the floor!

I didn't actually view the house before we moved in because I was in Ibiza, so I got given this room and I was pleasantly surprised! My favourite thing is my 1960's white fireplace. It's literally as stunning as this in real life! It really is a centre piece for the whole room and I love it :D

As the house came unfurnished I pretty much had to get all the furniture for my room off my own back and oh how I have loved it! Not only am I a lover of vintage and secondhand clothing stores but I can't help but love a poke around a vintage furniture shop! I got an absolutely gorgeous black steel bed frame (yet to photograph) from this giant vintage furniture shop in Westcliff and they delivered, and assembled it for me all within the price!
