Kendall and Kylie Topshop Collection Review

Kendall and Kylie, where did it all go wrong? I don't mean this to be a bitchy or negative post but honestly, what is the Kendall and Kylie Topshop collection?? With Kendall's high-end fashion modelling experience and Kylie's unique sense of style,  I honestly expected so much more from them!

The collection is described as channelling a Californian summer vibe - yawn. Like hasn't that been done already?! I know they're trying to appeal to younger girls as Topshop does cater to 16 years+ but still, I genuinely thought they were going produce something a little more groundbreaking.

Kylie's style is edgy and high fashion with lace up thigh highs and figure hugging shapes. I've seen her in a lot of nude hues also - not to mention her ever-changing trend setting hairstyle. Kendalls style is more defined, reflecting a 'model off duty' look, with sports luxe bombers, boot heels and casual distressed denim.

I personally don't think the collection itself reflects either of their style and consists of some overpriced slogan tees and floral playsuits -yawn again. Neither of which I've seen either of them ever wearing.

I really thought they'd use this as an opportunity to place themselves within the fashion industry leading to more opportunities to develop their style and then maybe set up their own brand. I for starters think the collection (not to be bitchy) is incredibly bland. They really could've brought some edgy and bold styling to this collection to really make their mark as fashion icons.

For weeks I've seen them posting on their social media page's talking about the 'exciting' fashion designs they've been working on and I really had high expectations! I still think the collection will sell well, even sell out for that matter - but for all the wrong reasons. There's so much mad talent out there and it's not fair that given such a big opportunity they've wasted it on basic floral patterns and Primarky slogan tees! (Nothing wrong with Primark but, c'mon!)

Sorry girls, in my opinion you've really missed the mark on this one! I'd usually write the link to the collection here, but I really wouldn't bother. Plus I've just seen that it's sold out already, queue girls on Depop selling it for triple what it's worth!
